Ordinary lives, Extraordinary stories.

Meet Vandana,

Vandana’s journey is one of transformation—from pain to power, from loss to a newfound love for the present moment.

From a young age, Vandana took on the responsibility of supporting herself and her family. As her career flourished, she felt a sense of accomplishment in her hard work and ability to provide for her loved ones. But her world was shaken by the sudden loss of her brother. It was a moment that redefined her understanding of what truly mattered. In the aftermath, Vandana found herself carrying the emotional and practical burden of caring for her grieving parents. The pain of this loss, compounded by the end of her marriage, marked a period of deep transformation. Vandana chose to walk away from a city filled with memories, seeking a new life where she could heal without constant reminders of her past.

Life brought her a second chance at love, and with it, a new chapter began. Vandana remarried and embraced the joys of motherhood. The birth of her son brought a new kind of happiness, a reason to celebrate again. However, joy was fleeting as her mother was diagnosed with a brain tumor shortly after. Vandana navigated the heartbreaking reality of losing her mother while caring for her infant son. It was a period marked by a duality of emotions—the sorrow of her mother’s illness and the happiness her son brought. “The pain was the same,” she says, “but the expression was different.

Throughout her life, Vandana has learned the importance of relying on herself. “I never waited for a miracle,” she reflects. The bricks of her life were built by her own hands, piece by piece, as she learned that strength comes from within.

Vandana’s philosophy is simple: life is neither black nor white, but a series of grey moments that blend pain and joy. Instead of striving for a perfect happiness that may never come, she chooses to live fully in the present, embracing the grey. Her message to the world is clear:

“Don’t wait for someday to be happy. Be happy now, even if today is tinged with pain.”

Today, she feels content with who she is, having grown through every hardship and embraced her own unique journey
